This 10-inch compound miter saw from Skil has a powerful 15 amp motor that produces up to 4,800 rpm. Its vertical clamp holds work pieces securely while cutting, and its die-cast aluminum fence has ruler markings. The table extension has left/right extension rails, and there are two crown stops and nine positive stops for setting the most common miter angles.

But best of all, this saw features the SmartCut system. The SmartCut system lets you make cuts faster and safer than ever before, with its motion-activated laser. When both of your hands are free, you can position the cut line perfectly between the two laser beams that project down onto your work piece. This two-beam laser shows you exactly what portion of material will be removed when you cut, which minimizes the opportunity for flawed slices. And since the lasers are activated by motion instead of through a trigger pull, you can keep both hands on the work piece.
